Scream Puff Music Video

Scream Puff is a Powerviolence band from Gainesville. They play a very traditional style of Powerviolence, quick to the point and in your face. At the same time though I can tell this band isn't all "SRSCORENOSMILES" and that they can actually have some fun and probably wouldnt doubt a few humorous things thrown into these songs. This song is called The Chronicles of Procrastinatory Nocturnal Short-Term Memory Input Explosion. Try to say that once before half the song is even over. This song is off their upcoming album 1000xRepentance. The song is just a teaser of whats to come in the future. I predict much chaos, heavy, fast, and dark. So please check out this song and give these dudes a helping hand. Their new album is maybe going to be out around sometime in January and i'm looking forward to it! -Jacob Rice

Year: 2013

Tracklist:
1. My Parent's House
2. How Can Hip Hop Be Dead If Wu Tang Is Forever?
3. What The Fuck by Benni Benassi

6. Now I Know
7. Chased Through The Woods By George Lopez (the CPS Officer)

Flowers Taped To Pens are a Screamo band from San Diego. I had posted one of the members past projects called Avari a while ago. He is onto this new project and I feel like it has jumped far past expectations and settles to be a strong and fantastic album. Packed with heartbroken melodies and furious but depressing choruses. Literally what you need in a Screamo album. This will be one I will be listening to all this year and into next year. -Jacob Rice

Volatile - Chin Check

Genre: Hardcore
Year: 2013

Tracklist:
1. D
2. The Matter at Hands
3. Play For Keeps

Volatile are a Hardcore band from Preston/Norwich Connecticut. Writing powerful and anger pent up Hardcore music, this album comes out as a very satisfying experience. There is one specific part of the album that sticks in my brain a bunch and its the ending to "The Matter at Hands". Its so full and I just love the lyrics to this song. This album flows from song to song very well and just flys by, great effort by this band. Can't wait to hear shit in the future from this group. -Jacob Rice

Misery - Disease Ridden

Genre: Hardcore/Powerviolence
Year: 2013

Tracklist:
1. Paranoia
2. Pale and Gray
3. Night Terror
4. Disease Ridden

Misery are a Hardcore band from Grand Rapids that just play an overall just heavy as fuck style of hardcore in the vein of bands like Harms Way, Weekend Nachos, and Nails. This album is chock full of slamming riffs, blazing and bellowing drums, and vocals filled with anger and misery. Honestly some of the coolest riffs i've heard recently, especially in the songs Night Terror and Disease Ridden. MOSH -Jacob Rice

Meth Mouth - Bleach Bath

Genre: Powerviolence
Year: 2013

Tracklist:
1. Nothings Shocking // Falsified Convictions
2. Violent Solution
3. N//V
4. Vicarious Struggle
5. Anarchy Illusion
6. Compelled To Hate

Second release from Meth Mouth, this is their new 7"/cassette Bleach Bath. Meth Mouth is a Straight Edge Powerviolence band from Miami, I first heard them about late April of this year with their first Demo. This 7" expands on the chaos and of course the noise. Just as mean and raw as the big daddies of powerviolence like Spazz, Failure Face, and Vaccine. The lyrics on this album are smart, aggressive, and the truth. This album screechs in about 5-7 minutes of feedback and pure aggression. Great release. -Jacob Rice
