NAILS-Abandon All Life is crustier than none

So if your like me you've been eagerly awaiting the new NAILS release and its finally here!! and it certainly doesn't disappoint at all i mean who isn't into NAILS? whats not to like about a Solid mix of grindcore/hardcore with a sprinkle of crust thrown in for good measure? Not to mention it sounds like the singer really wants to rip off your face and wear it for a mask Its just that much better.Ya just cant beat heaviness with the sincerity to back it up.The first track In exodus wastes no time getting straight down to business short sweet and to the point nothin wrong with that at all.The next few tracks follow the basic formula of being loud fast and under a minute but on track four Gods cold hands(by far my favorite song on the album) they change things up a bit by adding slower/sludge-y/grinding riffs to the mix  creating the perfect blend that cant be stopped.the rest of the album proceeds in that manor but not to worry the slower tempos don't last that long just long enough for you to catch your breath before being thrown back into the chaos and Jesus Christ its just so god damn good! Hard fast and heavy just the way your mom like its Abandon All Life is a must have

you can catch NAILS on tour with every ones favorites Xibalba&Early graves at these dates

Ramlord is an East Coast crust band that has been gathering momentum over the past few years. The band incorporates Black Metal-like instrumental strands throughout the music, as well as influences from hardcore and powerviolence bands.

Condensed Flesh is self-described as "punx playing metal." CF uses more traditional punk influences (think Millions of Dead Cops) in their approach.

Eisberg - Eisberg

Straight edge hardcore featuring members from all over Europe and the UK. The snarling vocals emphisise the vocalists accent and this EP is an aggressive change from the usual hardcore recipe.Motivational with great lyrics, this is a release to be proud of. And best of all. Its free!
-George

Afflictive Nature - Strictly Savage

Strictly Savage is the third and most exciting release from San Antonio's very own, Afflictive Nature. This band is often referred to as the “Masters of Crossover Chaos” which is a fitting title for their own blend of thrash, punk, and hardcore that they excel in creating. Following their split with Jungle Juice, Strictly Savage showcases six ruthless tracks which prove this band is something to pay attention to. Each track is a forward progression from the last, with thrashy riffs and fast Ceremony-influenced parts that the band truly makes into their own.

Afflictive Nature opens up this record with “Beneath the Streets,” a fast paced, aggressive introduction to what is in store for the listener. The third track “Nothing Beyond” is a personal favorite from this release. Clocking in at 36 seconds, the song proclaims “no hope/no faith/no tears/no pain,” which sums up the theme of this record. For a moment in seems that the band loses focus, somewhat straying from the distinct variation that was showcased at the beginning of the record. This is all changed during the slow opening of the final track “Body of Two,” which pulls everything together. Fast riffs and and a pounding bass drum seem like an homage to 80's thrash metal bands at times, while the vocals really make this a great hardcore record. In my opinion, the constant drive from the drum section without predictability is what really make this record stand out from others in the genre. It's an honest, raw release from 5 dudes who have something to give to punk and hardcore music.

Fans of this record will certainly enjoy the band's first release, Doomed from the Start, where the listener can see the progression from this 2009 EP to Strictly Savage. Afflictive Nature has recently been signed to Life to Live Records, home to bands like Losin It and Ivy League. They are in process of recording their first 7” under the label.

Its not like any of the other stuff he has done though, this stuff is really catchy and just kind of spacey and tribal like. Its really talented music, great song writing and fantastic lyrics.
