Kashyyyk - Purpose Escapes

genre: crusty hardcore stuff

year: 2014

tracklist:
1. The All Seeing; Gouge Their Eyes out
2. Mentat Projection
3. Arrakis Was Created To Train The Faithfull
4. A Dull Yet Constant Pain

Kashyyyk is heavy fast dark crusty hardcore, and it is good. Almost reminds me of a Gaza, just slighty toned down. This is a good solid release if you are into anything heavy, dark, crusty, or hardcore related.

Fed To The Wolves - 2011 Tape

genre: Hardcore

year: 2011

tracklist:
1. No Exit
2. Introspection
3. Mindless
4. Negation

Fed To the Wolves is a local hardcore band in San Diego that was love at first site for me. From the the first time i saw them at the the Che Cafe a few years ago i was enthralled by the dark crusty version of hardcore they presented. I chose to post the "2011 Taped" because it is my favorite release by them, thou their more current albums are worth the listen as well. From the sludgy heavy beginning of  "No Exit" to the fast past to the unrelenting end of "Negation" This 4 song demo is worth a listen. I have seem these guys live many times and they never cease to amaze me.

Trece - Cuervos [EP]

genre: Hardcore/ Crust
year: 2011

tracklist:
1. Cuervos
2. Una De Las Acevedo le Mamo el Toto a Tu Novia
3. Matadolor

"Cuervos" by Trece is around 4 minutes long.. and that is all you need. Trece delivers fast driving sound that will receive a warm embrace from any fan of the hardcore or crust genre. But Trece also delivers more slowed down sections to add character with a hint of thrash metal influence. Trece will feel familiar and should be a easy choice for any fan of punk/hardcore/ crust.

School - EP

Year: 2013
Genre: Punk/Crust/D-Beat

1.Easy
2.Garbage
3.Give In
4.Being
5.Pushover
6.School

Submission from Buffalo, NY. This band plays harsh Punk that can be compared to Hoax or Cülo. I've been extremely impressed with what I've been seeing from Buffalo over the past few years with bands like Brainwreck and Water Torture. Keeping with the recent theme of Buffalo, School plays visceral music that is slam-able.

Ad Dajjal - Ciclico

Genre: Hardcore/Crust/Sludge
Year: 2013

Tracklist:
1. Somnolencia
2. Thysia
3. Neviim
4. Crimental

Heavy as fuck hardcore band from Chile. These dudes pump out some of the heaviest songs i've heard in a while, some of the sludgier part on this album get so angry, like Dystopia angry. As well as ripping out those heavy parts they pull off some eerie melodic parts as well that just click really well with the style they are doing. It reminds me of Brutality Will Prevail in those moments. I have no clue what the lyrics are saying, but I can bet they are dark as fuck. Also, that artwork. -Jacob Rice

Hardcore from Houston TX. Stagnant Youth plays a very dirty and gritty style of hardcore, with very harsh and heavy vocals, these vocals sound very similar in my opinion to His Hero Is Gone. The overall feeling of this album is just that these dudes are sick of everything, and you can definitely hear it in the dismal, and bitter vocals. The guitar on this thing is just heavy as FUCK, the tone he has sounds like an old sludge or stoner band. This is an angry band for angry people. Let me repeat one last time, THIS IS HEAVY -Jacob Rice
