Punk band from Tallahassee. These guys play a combination of a lot of things. Oddly enough as others have compared them to Nomeansno, Fugazi, and Botch. I agree with those comparisons, this band brings something new to the table and something worth listening to. This stuff is rad.

Overdoser-Demo Two

Genre: Hardcore/Punk
Year: 2012
10-Track Album

This was one of my favorite bands at Gateway to the West Fest. Hardcore with a fast, punk feel. They also play sets while shirtless an slinging around a 50-pound chain. So that's a plus.

4. Crucial Banquet Crew
5. A Day In The Life

One of the most fun bands I have ever seen live is Wild Man Wild from Kansas City. Featuring members of Kicked In, this band brings the party. Wild Man Wild relentlessly dishes out the Mt. Dew, silly string, and Zubaz. Do you want a roundhouse kick to the face in zebra-print Zubaz? No? Then download this demo, ya maroon.

Opium Lord-The Calendrical Cycle Prologue: The Healer

Year: 2013
Genre: Sludge/Doom/Black Metal
1. Heroin Swirls
2. Street Labs

A submission from the Birmingham, UK band Opium Lord. This band has only been around for a little over a month and they've already had radio airplay on BBC, and for good reason. Opium Lord is a blistering cocktail of the instrumental droning of Doom, the raspy vocals of Black Metal, and the chugging pace of Sludge. Keep a look out for their EP release this Spring.

MurkDaddyFlex - Second Compilation

Genre: Hip Hop/Rap/Instrumental
Year: 2013

More stuff from MurkDaddyFlex, just as solid as the first time! If you didnt see the post before this is a jazz style instrumental hip hop beats act. Like A Tribe Called Quest and some of  Flying Lotus' stuff. I really enjoy this stuff. I know I don't post much rap/hip hop but I need to start doing so because I like it a lot more than I show.

Aye Aye Goodbye

Genre: Emo/Math Rock
Year: 2012

1. Cut All These Ties Off

New Emo/Math Rock band from Germany! These guys lyrics are about real life every day problems, and some deeper problems such as relationships, etc. Their sound I would compare to like, Cap'n Jazz or a Algernon Cadwallader vibe? Its sort of hard to say they sound like another band. This is only one song, but they are planning to release another soon and then maybe an EP in the Summer this year! Really into this stuff, its very solid. Cant wait for more.

Dead End Alaska/Ostrov - Family and Friends Vol. II

Genre: Hardcore/Sludge
Year: 2012

1. Dead End Alaska - The Bird With Human Legs
2. Dead End Alaska - Million Kyle March
3. Ostrov - Maw
4. Ostrov - Carrion

This is a split between Dead End Alaska and Ostrov. Recently one of the members of Dead End Alaska submited this and I gave it a good listen and I thoroughly enjoy this thing. Dead End Alaska brings more of a softer more emotional side of hardcore kind of close to a post hardcore or screamo thing. While Ostrov brings a heavy distorted sludge sound to this split. Very refreshing mix up! Definitely check this thing out and support both of these bands.
